Vandaag hebben BMS en Aston Martin een akkoord bereikt voor de FIA-GT van volgend jaar.

Lekker vroeg dit jaar

Goeie keuze van Aston-Martin. BMS verdient dit uiteraard. Eindelijk (fabrieks)erkenning voor jaren hard werken.

Er gingen 3 teams met telkens 2 Astons zijn volgend jaar, niet? BMS, die Sheik .... en dan blijft er nog 1 team over. Dat zal drummen worden

Op pitstop.tv staat te lezen dat Russian Age Racing op het einde van het jaar al met een klantenversie van de DBR9 zal rijden.

En dan is er nog het project van de Brundell Brothers (Brundle en Blundell). Is dit project nog gaande?

nu nog de corvette c6 en het word lekker spannend. hopelijk kan glpk carsport iets met de fabriek regelen

GLPK heeft inderdaad al bewezen dat de Corvette zeker zijn mannetje kan staan in de FIA GT. Ik denk dat een aantal andere teams wel eens contact op zullen nemen met de Amerikanen.

Maserati, Corvette en Aston Martin zijn de wagens om volgend jaar te racen. Ferrari 550 is op het einde van zijn leven en de 575 blijft toch te traag (de nieuwe evolutie heeft nog niet veel verbeterd).

Ik hoop nog altijd dat de Lamborghini competitief wordt, maar dat lijkt niet realistisch. Reiter is Prodrive niet en Lamborghini pompt nooit zo veel geld in het project als Maserati dat gedaan heeft.

Cirtek Motorsport announces 2005 Aston Martin DBR9 race programme

Cirtek Motorsport is proud to announce that it will be the first private team to compete with the Aston Martin DBR9 in the FIA GT Championship. The car will be present at the official test day at Spa on 12 July and will make its race debut at the 24 hour race at the end of the month.

The Russian Age Racing entry at Spa will be driven by regular drivers Christophe Bouchut, Nikolay Fomenko and Alexey Vasiliev and they will be joined by a fourth driver who will be announced shortly.

The car will compete in the remaining rounds of the 2005 FIA GT Championship and further announcements regarding the 2006 season will be made soon.

This exciting development marks a further major step forward for Cirtek Motorsport. In partnership with the East Anglian Aston Martin distributor Stratton Motor Company, new purpose-built technical facilities are currently under construction.

The new racing headquarters are housed close to Stratton Motor Company's Aston Martin distributorship and this move will enable road and race clients to share a unique experience when visiting either facility.

Rob Schirle commented: 'I am delighted with this latest progression for Cirtek and to be working in partnership with Roger Bennington. The commencement of the Aston Martin DBR9 race programme gives Russian Age Racing added awareness and credibility on the world motorsport stage'.
