Het interview staat ook gewoon op wrc.com: Duval still has Xsara hopes
Quote:
"I hope... I am sure I will come back with Citroen in Greece. I don't know if Citroen will take a different driver, but there aren't many young drivers out there," Duval told Autosport magazine after he was dropped following a spate of three crashes in six events.
Duval expressed surprise at the decision to drop him and suggested that it may have been taken by Claude Satinet, the director general of Automobiles Citroen rather than by rally team principal Guy Frequelin. "Mr Frequelin understands the driver," said Duval, "he was in rallying a long time ago. It hasn't been easy, I have tried to stay on the road on every rally, and Guy understands that, but I believe Mr Satinet is not really happy."
Duval will not attend next weekend's Rally of Turkey, but remain at home in Belgium. His next meeting with Frequelin is not expected to be held until after the Rally of Turkey.
